who we are
Clicks of Hope is an umbrella charitable organization, one of whose main thrusts is to help downtrodden victims with acute costs of getting out of traumatic situations. Our main areas of concern are:
- Domestic violence and spousal abuse
- Abuse of the disabled and handicapped
- Victims of racially or religiously motivated hate crime
- Victims living in abusive living situations
Clicks of Hope was founded by Yitzchak "Y-Love" Jordan in 2006, after a chance meeting with a domestic violence victim in a forum on MySpace.com. A fund was put together to immediately help one victim, and the need for such an organization was obvious after that.
Y-LOVE won the 2006 Jewish Music Award for Best Hip Hop Artist, and through his politically charged music, he has gained notariety as an anti-prejudice activist, most notably for his bridge building between the Jewish and Muslim communities. His news and political analysis blog, thisisbabylon.net, receives over 12,000 readers a month, and he is a contributing editor to Jewschool.com, the web's leading progressive Jewish weblog.
Clicks of Hope is privileged to have on its board of directors Nicholas Dupree, a leader in disability advocacy. Mr. Dupree has become well-respected in the field of disability activism throughout his native state of Alabama and gaining nationwide recognition as an advocate for disability rights and Medicaid reform. At only 24, Mr. Dupree was the recipient of the 2006 Lifetime Advocacy Award from the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program, one of only four people to receive the award in ADAP's 30-year existence.
Hope should never be more than a click away.
future endeavors
Clicks of Hope is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) charitable status. Until we do so, unfortunately donations will not be tax-deductible. We hope to be able to assist all types of victims of violent trauma and assault, one life at a time, one donor at a time. We pride ourselves on aiding actual people through our endeavors. Each one, reach one.
